THE MEETING

The Picos de Europa Crossing, started in 1988, like part of a tribute that Joan Feliú's friends dedicated him. That first edition was called 'The Joan Feliú Memori'. Joan died in Girona, practising the sport that he liked: ballooning. The task consists on a flight over the mountains, near the sea, at 12'000 feet, with the same safety of a Sunday morning flight.
The trip partners are 12 experienced pilots, introduced by an expert pilot, knowledgeable of La Travesía. Also there are some invitations, that are exclusively facilited by the organitation.

LLANES

Placed in Asturias, in the North of Spain. 43º25'00" 04º50'00", it's a charming town, capital of the turistic region of Asturias. In Llanes is the Operations Centre of La Travesía. It's called the 30 beaches land, little coves full of nature, as near as tehy are to LOS PICOS DE EUROPA.
